Question / Help Can I stream without losing game performance?

Hi guys.

This is my first time here and I'm wondering if I would be able to stream without losing game performance. I've used OBS in the past (a few times) and everytime I've done it, the game has become choppy / losing FPS in game. The games that I've been trying to stream are CSGO and H1Z1.

Here are my computer specs:

Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4790k CPU @ 4.00GHz
RAM: 8 GB
GPU: GeForce GTX 970
Operating System: Windows 7 Ultimate

OBS Settings (32 bit):

If anyone could help, I've tried to modify some of my settings to help with the problem from other guides but I haven't really been able to hit the nail on the head. Thanks!

enable quicksync and use that.

if you use quicksync then quality is shit without 3500 bitrate and if you have that 3500 bitrate your viewers cant watch your stream because buffering (if you are non-partered), so one thing you should try stream with 30fps because 60 fps needs 3500bitrate to looks good (or even more)

+

uncheck CBR and put quality something like 6-7 it helped mine stream little

While that's true, I think people over-estimate the amount of users that experience buffering on none-partnered channels. I've never had anyone complain about buffering, and I have a non-partnered friend who streams at 1080p 60fps, and he's not had any complaints either.
