I am only trying to record locally. I wanted to get 60fps, but no matter what i try for 60fps, I get choppy video at a minimum. Sometimes the video completely stops for a full 2 seconds while audio continues. The quality I have with this current setting isn't bad, I was just hoping for better. Any suggestions?

Ultrafast and crf15 seems to work with no choppyness that I didn't see while recording/playing. The quality DOES look slightly better. (i am doing 10-20 second recordings where I swing the camera significantly and make my character move more than normal)

The drawback of using ultrafast is that your files end up noticeably larger than with veryfast with the rest of your settings.
That can easily be solved by re-compressing the files later using your preferred video editing software (I recommend something that uses x264 for output, set the preset to something like "fast" with crf of 15, and watch the file shrink)

Yeah, i've noticed file sizes, less worried about that and more about quality. I want my videos to be as pretty as possible ;)
