Question / Help Can’t change from flv to mp4. Help please!

Hi I’m trying to change my recording format from flv to mp4 but the settings are grey and I’m unable to click to change the settings. Help. How am I able to change these settings. Thanks!

You are unable to click on settings ?

You can't change output settings while an output is live. Make sure you're not currently recording, livestreaming, running an NDI output, etc.

Also, it's best to record to FLV or MKV and then remux to MP4 afterward, because if OBS crashes while you're recording, FLV and MKV will still be intact, while MP4 will be corrupted.

Plugins such as virtual camera may have to be temporarily disabled because they keep OBS in live mode.
