Question / Help Call of Duty 4 Crashing and black screen between map changes

Hello all,

As the title states, I get black screen on my OBS stream when the game changes maps. This also causes the actual game to crash when its loading the new map. I have tried enabling the anti game option under the COD4 hook with no change.

Any help would be much appreciated as I have to close OBS (thus ending my stream) re-open OBS and start the game each time a new map is loaded.

Could we see a log file from where this happens? Also, could you try the test build on the downloads page?

I tried both the 32 bit and 64 bit versions of the test build but they both did the same thing.

I am running:

Windows 7 pro 64 bit
gpu is an r9 290x with the latest AMD stable driver.

Update for you Jim,

I just played some stock server for 6 rounds with no crash.. It appears that its a modded server that is causing me to crash. It seems that the modded server causes the client to kick out of the game briefly between maps and this is what is giving me the black screen.
