Will Avermedia's C985 Live Gamer HD's video input and hardware encoder be supported?

Encoding at settings equal to those the Live Gamer HD hardware encoder uses will not stress out your processor, unless your game is already using over 80% of it. Set your x264 preset to "superfast" in OBS, as that's very similar to what the card's hardware encoder uses.

Not entirely. A custom x264 setting of deblock=1:0 would be needed. But other than that yeah, using superfast or ultrafast with deblock set to 1:0 is probably a fair approximation of the Live Gamer HD hardware encoder.
