I had a similar issue, until I purchased a USB mic that plugs directly into the tower. I used to have my jack from my headset plugged into my tower. Now my audio is super clear :-)

@achmetha Please advise users to disable GX mode via the sound card's control panel first. Mucking with registry patches should not be a first option unless there are no others.

open the zip and double click the disable registry key, then reboot and give it a shot

@Sapiens it runs regardless of if its disabled in thr cp, thats why there is this fix

@achmetha Disabling GX mode in the sound card's control panel has always resolved the only real issue I recall encountering for OBS/Xonar users (the issue being no sound recorded from Xonar cards, not buzzing). If a registry change is needed to fix other programs then that's fine, but outside of what should be posted on the OBS forums. If a registry change is needed to fix an issue with OBS then that would also potentially be okay but we'd at least want to verify that there were no better alternatives available first.

Additionally there was nothing done to verify that the buzzing sound was the result of GX mode, or even related to the sound card. At this point it sounds like the problem might have been the USB mic? I can't quite interpret "USB Was shocking for me it had constant static".

Ok, So I done some research and it seems common on these soundcards for the buzzing I have Taken the Xonar DSX 7.1 Sound card back and been refunded the money, I am now looking for another cheapish Sound card any suggestions I am back to using the USB Sound card now, the thing with the USB Soundcard is it sound clear but you can hear static/buzzing without and that is just testing by sound recorder. All I am happy with my onboard sound.. I just want my microphone to sound clearer.
