Question / Help Broadcasting to WebEx

Is there a way to send the video and audio out to WebEx but also record locally. The reason I ask is that I find WebEx makes terrible recordings and poor controls over what is shown in video. I would like to control what is shown on video with OBS and record locally with OBS as well.

I should have been more clear on my question, The real issue I am having is getting the video output from OBS in to WebEx. I don't think OBS has a way to directly stream the video in to a WebEx meeting.
I THINK I might need something that takes the output from OBS and makesit look like a web cam so WebEx thinks the video is coming from a WebCam. I looked at one piece of software and I kept getting malware warnings so I abandoned that idea. however if there is a reputable piece of open source or something that is reasonably priced I would use that as long as it does not compromise my PC

Sorry, I can't help you because I have no idea of how you can do that...Maybe someone else here is knowledgeable with WebX and what you want to do.

Hi! Yes, Webex is garbage regarding quality. What you are actually asking is if OBS has some kind of virtual camera/mic to redirect your streaming like other closed solutions have. Then you can choose that virtual camera in other software (like webex) like it was a webcam. I don't know if OBS has that but if not it would be an awesome idea for maybe a plugin.

This is not currently possible, but has been requested fairly often and is on the list of things to implement when time and priority allows. We have no ETA.

ZAPA, Wow, you're as helpful as I was...LOL

Sarcasm mode: ON maybe? I was going to mention the PROFESSIONAL tool that has that feature, not the thing that he was referring to (probably some malware software like bandycam or manycam) but I don't know if it is allowed here.

I usually don't recommend things like software etc..I think it's best for people to make those decisions themselves based on what their needs and skill level is...

Thanks for the input guys, Honestly I forgot to post back in on this thread but I came up with another use case as well. WebEx is a great tool but you have very limited mic and camera mixing capabilities so if OBS could could front end Webex with multiple cameras and mic sources that would be killer!!

I tried sharing my screen in Webex to show OBS Studio as the desktop. Webex showed some of the OBS Studio interface at the bottom and it also defeats the Window Capture area I had designed on the stage of OBS Studio. Please work on making OBS Studio feed directly to Webex. This would be a great solution for us as long as having Webex open doesn't affect Window Capture.

The plugin above does that. It allows you to export your OBS scene as a virtual webcam that you can select in WebEx.

I've read the VirtualCam FAQ there's no plan for MacOS version, but... as there are other software that act as virtual webcams (like the "strange" Snap Camera plugin), this could sure be possible and... indeed in this corona virus bad period I'd like to "overcharge" my business Cisco Webex connection & webinars (from my Macbook Pro 15 2018) with a better managed OBS-based stream, even connecting an Elgato Stream Deck...

Any idea of a similar solution for MacOS?

Many thanks in advance!

Thanks, Fenrir!
I've seen on Github they should have already found the solution!
My prob is that... honestly not practical of GitHub: how might I install this plugin? even if in beta...

Currently using the plugin requires you to download and compile OBS, download and compile the plugin, then manually install the plugin.

Ohi... unluckily this is over my current abilities... Given we're all using Catalina, here, why couldn't I use other's precompiled assets? (sure this is a noob question, sorry)
