Question / Help Broadcasting to WebEx

Just an “easy question”, coming on my mind.
It’s not as good as creating a virtual cam, yet any videoconferencing software, such as Webex or MS Teams, allows to share an app window, eg. a powerpoint presentation, for instance.
Idea: should OBS allow to output the video stream on a named MacOS windows (similarily to a pptx deck), Webex would be able to simply re-share this window to everyone.
—> Would this be possible, as a “quick & dirty” solution, while finalising the virtual cam plugin?

Using the sharing feature of webex would additionally offer the plus that any connected people is receiving this shared “screen” as the primary video, while using a virtual cam would oblige the presentation host (if not the OBS streamer) to manually fix the OBS person (virtual) webcam in front of everyone (otherwise webex changes the primary shared webcam on the basis of who is speaking at the moment).

I don't use Mac, but this probably should be able to work using current version of OBS, you just need to set advanced output ffmpeg (Output - Advanced, set type to ffmpeg, there are many tutorial to achieve this here), and capture the output using VLC or any other media player that support streaming capture. Lastly, you just need to share the VLC window to any vicon software you use.

...but luckily is now available the package to install!
yet... it does not work in webex :-/
The device selector does not show the OBS VirtualCam (Microsoft Teams shows, but then does show a black screen within the stream... i think some more glitches have to be solved... but we r on a good route!)

Check out this blog post from Cisco:

Regarding your issue getting VirtualCam into Webex:

With one of the latest Webex Desktop updates, a new “hardened” security compilation method on OS X was put in place so that only libraries that are signed by Cisco or Apple are loaded. This applies not only to Manycam but other third-party applications such as CamTwist, Ecamm, CameraLive, EpocCam, Snap Camera, etc. Since they are from third parties, the Webex Desktop app (for Meetings and Events) will not allow them to load. The way to bypass this is to use the browser version for Webex Meetings.

I have been doing this for a while, because Webex sucks by not supporting virtual cams well on the mac, not having options to green screen etc.. and I wanted to have more control.. you might not like my set up but I have an old mac macbook that I run with OBS on it.. and I use that mac's camera for my input.. I then have a external HDMI adaptor for the powerbook (the kind you would use to feed a projector with.. ) then I run this HDMI cable into a Capture device https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07FXHN43Y which plugs into my mac mini.. (so yes I have two macs) I turn off mirroring in the displays on the macbook, and then set obs to output full screen on the 'second display) of the macbook.. this becomes the camera in on the mac mini (through the capture card) then I do the webex conference using the mac mini.. this gives me huge flexiblity because on the macbook I can have multiple cameras, do green screen.. record my video.. etc.. it has been working really well for me.. I know this is a bit excessive (requiring two computers and a $110 capture device) but it gives one a lot of flexibility..

the virtual cam ist no solution for this problem! in webex this ist just one of many in the conference. so it is only shown if you are the active speaker. or it maybe is shown as one of many small frames...
you need to share a window in webex to be shure that all user see your stream in one big window. i will try the vlc workaround. but an integrated function would be fantastic
