Hi all,
Can anyone tell me if it's possible to play a local video file in a Media Source have it show the first frame of the video immediately rather than black?
Right now if I transition from a live source to a Media Source I get a flash of black before the video starts playing. I'm guessing that this black flash is the time it takes to load the local video file into memory and start playback but I'm hoping that its possible to somehow pre-load media so the transition can be seamless.
I've tried having the Media Source in the same scene as the Live Source, and also having the two in separate scenes, but the behavior is the same.
The only workaround I've come across so far is to transition to a scene that contains both the Media Source and the Live Source (with the Media Source as the top layer), but doing this means that I need to manually fade down the audio from the Live Source once the transition is complete, which I'd like to avoid.
The videos I'm using are H.264 MP4 format and I'm running OBS Studio v0.16.2 on Linux Mint 18.1.
Any suggestions would be hugely appreciated.
