im streaming on chaturbate and started using OBS, my bluetooth speakers sounded great but now the audio is very low quality.
I know it was an audio setting that i can changed but its been so long i forgot how to do it.

what settings is it to let the bluetooth NOT pass thru OBS and just get the audio from my CPU

thanks!!

To bypass OBS processing your Bluetooth audio and use the system audio directly:

  1. Go to OBS Settings > Audio.
  2. Under Global Audio Devices, set Desktop Audio to Default (or your system audio device).
  3. Disable any Mic/Auxiliary Audio devices that might be capturing your Bluetooth audio.
  4. Ensure your Bluetooth device is set as the default playback device in your system's sound settings.
This will let your system handle the Bluetooth audio directly without OBS interfering.
Let me know if your problem is solve

It's not an OBS thing. It's a Bluetooth thing.

If ANYTHING uses the Bluetooth mic, or even just asks for it even if it doesn't do anything with it, then the entire BT connection switches modes to support the mic. *That* is what kills the quality of the speakers.

You can have good speakers with no mic, or you can have "noisemakers" with a mic. Again, that's a Bluetooth thing.

Hi,

Just yesterday i found this thread that helped me fix this issue.
One problem though is that it came back today even without changing the settings. I have nothing using the Bluetooth mic but the sound still switches to that horrible radio voice call tone.

I ended up disabling the microphone in the Windows settings and that worked! I know it's not a crazy solution but if it can save time to anyone reading then it's worth posting.

Yes. Like I said, if ANYTHING uses the Bluetooth mic, it'll do this. That's *anything at all*, not limited to OBS or any other single app. So disabling it entirely like you did, is a valid solution that saves having to track them all down.

Keep in mind though, when you do that, that you can't use it later, in anything, without first re-enabling it there. So you're one of those people that doesn't remember settings, it may also end up setting a trap for yourself.
