Hi there!
So here's some info on how I stream.
1) I have one monitor at 1600x900.
2) I stream with OBS on Twitch.tv
3) Since I have one monitor, I set the base resolution of OBS to 1280x720, then also set my games to 1280x720 windowed. This way I can play the game and also see the Twitch chat.
This has always worked with other games until I try to play a game from Blizzard's launcher. These games include: Heroes of the Storm, StarCraft 2, and Diablo 3. When I go into the resolution settings, they give me a few options. I can change the resolution down to 1280x720, however I am being forced to keep it at fullscreen. If I go to either Windowed or Windowed (fullscreen) mode, the resolution grays out and displays no resolution. When I apply, the game goes to windowed mode, but always at 1600x900.
What is stranger still is that even when I use windowed mode, it forces the game into 968x681. I know this because I can set up the source as a window capture instead of game capture, then click "set base resolution," then check OBS settings.
Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong? I want to play these games at a 1280x720 resolution but not fullscreen.
