Question / Help Blackscreen - Only Intel HD4000 Need help with it

Hello best members and admins,

I have some problems with recording/streaming...

In the video settings i have my Intel HD graphics 4000 selected,
Encode x264 also selected.
It records when i select monitor/screen capture but when i start a game it shows me a black screen.

How do fix this?

Laptop specs:

Intel core i5-3210M 3.1 ghz
Intel HD Graphics 4000
4 gig RAM

Is this an AMD/intel switchable graphics laptop? If so, you must use 'compatibility mode' in window capture or monitor capture (with aero off) to be able to capture. The problem is that even setting it to the intel just doesn't seem to work

Hello,

No is not with AMD, it's only with Intel chipset, have aero already off. But it gives me still blackscreen.

If i add on Sources - Window Capture OR MonitorCapture, it show both my screen on preview.

BUT if i start a game i get a black screen on my OBS.

Yes, The game is running in fullscreen mode.

So, What can i do then? i have the Intel HD 4000 gpu, So on wich mode i can record my game than?

Okay, But what if i use ''Select application'' method.. Do i still need to wait untill i am in the game?

What settings you prefer me?

It works if using the hotkey capture method, but when i go back to Windows (Alt-tab, Windows button) and go back in the game. The game will crash. How is that possible? i mean is that normall ?
