Question / Help Blackscreen for fullscreen pc games?

Everytime I try and stream a fullscreen pc game with obs it just shows a black screen on the preview. Ive tried selecting the game and hotkeying but neither work. I also started the stream and ended it after 5 mins to watch the video on twitch to make sure it just wasnt showing the preview black because I wasnt on the game. I also alt tab out of the game if that means anything.

Question, where in the nvidia control panel do I make obs use the nvidia?

If you have the NVIDIA drivers installed you should be able to right click on your desktop, or find it in the Windows control panel. If it's not listed then you need to install drivers for your card from http://www.geforce.com/drivers

I know how to get to the control panel. The part I dont understand is it says to make OBS.exe use "performance." I dont understand where I go to do this in the control panel.

Ah sorry, misread your reply. Go to Manage 3D settings > Program Settings I believe.
