Question / Help black screen

hey there all, I have used ob with no issues recording wow but on bf4 all I get is a blackscreen, tried to follow all the advice given about disable origin, try the anticheat, use a hotkey .. but nothing seems to work, all I get is black screen. any help would be great, thanks in advance

Does game capture still work with other games? Are you trying to use Mantle in BF4? That isn't going to work with game capture.

ok, more looking into it.. looked at everything again. changed back to dx11 in game options, still nothing, uninstalled and reinstalled ob, setup as before.. and it works, feel like I have wasted some peoples time but thanks for the help. all working fine now...

yeah or so I thought, now when I start to record I get the game closing on me... so back to the beginning, works on preview not on record... why is life so complicated

If it works on preview, it's working. If your recording appears all black, it's possible you're just lacking codecs or you should be using a video player such as VLC.

Recording and preview are functionally identical. The only difference is one is actually saving the data to file, so you'll have to forgive me if I'm somewhat confused.

that's what is confusing me, it previews fine, press record it closes the game. it works with wow and minecraft perfectly.. records and plays back with no issues... only issue I have is with bf4 closing when I hit record. the pc is more than capable of playing the game and the gfx card is not too shabby either. wd black hard drives throughout with a Samsung ssd boot drive.. so the pc is upto the job. no matter what game setting I try and record on it, windowed fullscreen etc it shuts bf4 down..
sorry if im not confusing you , but I do thank you for your time in trying to help, it is much appreciated

yes, I am on preview, its all looking good, I stop preview then go into record the game and bf4 closes. like you have exited the game

edit .. just tried it again now just getting blackscreen. it was working preview now this has stopped..
