Question / Help Black screen

I can record my minecraft videos but when I go to preview the recording its fine but when I view the video they open in windows movie maker and they are 7 seconds long and are black screens. Can you please help me. I would love to start recording some minecraft videos that are longer than 10 minutes but OBS doesn't seem to work. I only have 1 graphics card which is an ATI Radeon HD 4200. If you can help I am grateful.
 
I'm not entirely sure how well the videos would work in windows movie maker. Depends on your codecs. Does it play properly in regular media players?
 
What do you mean? I don't know of any others and windows movie maker is the only thing it opens as. I feel like it has something to do with that but im not sure
 
I meant does it work fine in say, MPC or VLC? or windows media player?
