Question / Help Black Screen with Audio no matter what.

No matter what I do, what settings I use, my Twitch stream just shows a black screen with game audio.

I am trying to stream FFXIV

I5-3570k
GTX 760
8GB RAM

Windows is up to date
all my drivers are up to date
and DirectX is up to date.

Using Windows 7 Professional 64bit.

Okay, if I use Monitor capture, it seems to work fine when I am using fullscreen, I guess it's just Game Capture that doesn't seem to work for me.

Try Window Capture with Aero enabled. Monitor Capture should be avoided at all costs on Windows 7.

Monitor capture is the worst capture method on Windows 7. It's just really slow because of the way that Microsoft made it. It's a lot better in Windows 8.

If you use Monitor capture with Aero enabled, it is really really slow. Window capture with Aero enabled, however, is very fast. So in general it's best to leave Aero enabled and use Window capture wherever you can. Even a small Monitor capture source with Aero enabled can have a serious performance impact.

Ahhh, okay, I will try out Window Capture then.

I haven't even noticed a performance drop with Monitor capture...Well, I mean, I went from 99fps to 42fps in FFXIV, but that was still pretty smooth so I didn't notice.
