Question / Help Black screen when using Monitor Capture on my laptop

Whenever I go to create a monitor capture on my laptop in OBS, it just becomes completely transparent even though the opacity is set to 100. I have troubleshooted with the other laptop black screen forum post, but that only works for window captures. What can I do?

switchable graphics is tough on OBS. I would try and change the GPU selected in the OBS menu, but I cant be sure that will even work.

Also, why monitor capture?
 
btw, never mind. I managed to fix the problem by going to the nvidia control panel and changining the graphics setting to intellectual graphics.
