Question / Help Black Screen when trying to record RPG

I want to try doing a "lets play" with the game 'off' and am using the game 'IB' as a test run and downloaded OBS yesterday. No matter what I do it doesn't work.
Game Capture: Blank screen
Monitor capture: Game is playing but only in a small box in top left of the screen and the rest is my desktop flashing.
Windows Capture: Won't even let me use that option.
I can give you any information you want if you ask I just don't know what is wrong to really give any right now.

What is the game? "RPG" feels like a generic sort of name. Game capture only works on games that are DirectX9+ and OpenGL games, so older games might have issues. As for monitor capture, the game must be set to borderless/windowed mode to be captured properly by it.

The games are IB and Off, they were both made in RPG maker(and can be downloaded online) and I can't really find much about them when using google on if they use DirectX9+ and OpenGL. I was able to get them in a window view so they worked in Monitor Capture and Window Capture worked temporarily, but then stopped working for some reason. The only issue is the windows for both games' windows are very small and they won't change, so you can't actually see the game very well when playing.

You'll probably have to use window capture unfortunately. I don't think game capture works on RPG Maker games.
