Question / Help Black Screen when trying to Capture Monitor

So most people can get to streaming their monitor, but im the opposite. I can get the whole webcam thing going but i cant seem to show my screen. i follow directions given to me by youtube and this website, but nothing seems to work! In the Video Settings, i dont have multiple graphics cards. What else can i do?

If you just want to capture your monitor, then you probably have to set your GPU to the intel in nvidia control panel rather than the nvidia. Though I'll have to warn you that windows 8 monitor capture isn't always the most stable on switchable graphics laptops.

Alright, and so i got the screen to show up! but now the screen is only shows a majority of the screen, but not the full thing. It is missing the bottom start bar and about 1/6 of the right side of the screen. what can i do to change that?

If you're using the resolution scaling option in Windows, please set it back to 100% and try again.
