Hi, I have a Nvidia laptop and I'm trying to stream both Hearthstone and Magic Online. I read the "first read this" article present in this forum and I have kinda get the all theory behind the problem but I'm still stuck with some issues.

I had several streaming tests and this is what is going on (never on battery mode):

1. With OBS in "automatic settings" in Nvidia panel and basically every program in the same setting I'm able to window capture basically everything listed on the Nvidia panel but I'm NOT able to monitor capture nor MTGO in window mode which is also not appearing in the program list.

2. If I force OBS on "Nvidia only" in the Nvidia control panel nothing change

3. If I force OBS on "Integrated Graphics" i'm able to window mode the same programs but ALSO i'm able to monitor capture. I'm still not able to window capture MTGO.

4. I went in the global settings forcing "Nvidia only" but and is the same of points 1 and 2.

Any suggestions?

I would like to have MTGO on window mode and not forcing the integrated graphics for OBS in order to monitor capture it

OBS needs to be running on the same adapter that's rendering what you want it to capture. With a switchable graphics laptop this can pose some problems - typically monitor capture will only work when OBS is running on the integrated GPU since that's what's rendering your desktop and Windows interface. Check that both OBS and the games you want to capture are configured to run on your NVIDIA GPU, then try capturing them with window or game capture. If you really just have to use monitor capture then do the opposite, and make sure both OBS and the games are running on the integrated GPU instead.

Is it possible to run the monitor on NVIDIA? Because I would probably have a better stream quality using NVIDIA rather than the integrated GPU
