I've been trying for the last 2 days to figure out why I have this black screen of death in OBS. At this point I do not know if OBS is the problem, or if it is my hardware. I'm not a computer expert or anything, so I'm just going to provide as many details as I possibly can.
Computer Specs-
Processor: Intel Core i7-4790 CPU @ 3.60GHz
RAM: 16.0 GB
System type: 64-bit Operating System, x64-based processor
Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 Ti
Operating system: Windows 8.1, 64-bit
Capture Card: Magewell XI100DUSB-HDMI
HDMI Splitter: Rocketfish RF-G1182 (1 in, 2 out)
I assume I plug the PS4 into the in, then the TV and capture card into the 2 outs, then the capture card to the USB 3.0 although I have tried every combination of plugging.
I have tried all combinations with both the 32 bit and 64 bit versions of OBS, although I'm not sure that matters. I believe the 32 bit should work just fine.
I have gotten the game video to blink briefly while unplugging the HDMI from the TV, but only for a split second, then it returns to black.
I have optimized OBS settings for my internet connection and computer as per OBS suggestions and about 10 youtube videos so I'm pretty sure it's not an OBS setting, but again, I have no idea.
Interestingly the log analysis tells me there are Multiple Video Cards Detected, however, I only have 1 video card???
I have included the last 10 log files. Hopefully I have done so properly. There are more, if needed.
Does ANYBODY have ANY idea what the problem is?? I have tried everything and am at my wits end.
Thanks in advance,
Christine
