Question / Help Black Screen only with Game Capture

I just downloaded OBS yesterday, and I watched many tutorials on how to set it up. I have no problem with monitor capture mode and window capture, but for some reason game capture will not work. I do not have a laptop.

Any help would be nice,

If possible, please post a log where the issue happens, and specify the game you're attempting to capture.

So at first I create a new Game Capture source and select Counter Strike GO that is listed as one of the applications.
I create that capture and the screen is black. I then go alt tab back into CS and then back into OBS. It is a black screen. Hopefully these pictures will upload as attachments.

It says you only have one monitor. You might not be aware, but game capture does not capture fullscreen games when you are alt-tabbed, it can't because the game stops rendering completely.

You might have to record to file to check to see if it's working instead of alt-tabbing

I tried recording and it didn't work as well. Or maybe I'm not quite understanding you on the alt tab issue.

When you are alt-tabbed out of the game, the game does not render, therefore nothing will show up while alt-tabbed, it will only capture when you are actually in game, in other words when you are unable to actually see the OBS window to verify if it's working.

This is why I said to record and check the recording after instead. If the video shows up fine then that was what was gone. Otherwise, it's legitimately not capturing.

Ah okay, thanks for doing that then. Okay, I'm not entirely sure, I don't really see this sort of thing very often, usually when I do, it's something else outside of the game and OBS interfering with the capture.

Things that can typically interfere are other capture programs, overlay programs, or graphical modification prorgrams, such as but not necessarily limited to:
fraps
msi afterburner
teamspeak overlay
mumble overlay
sweetfx
shadowplay

There are a lot of similar programs out there like that, so I can't help but wonder if something like that is interfering. I unfortunately just do not know what's going on for sure at this point if it's not working at all, because CS:GO is definitely a working game normally.
