Question / Help Black Screen on Monitor Capture

Hi, I am getting a black screen on monitor capture, I don't understand what is going wrong.
I have ensured obs is using my NVIDIA GeForce 860M card, and have check my obs settings. I am in the middle of a graphic card update and will let you know if that fixes it in about an hour. But, as of now it still does not work!

Edit: I updated my graphics and it is still black. I will try restarting to see if that helps.

Please help me I need this for a class!

laptops with switchable graphics dont work with monitor capture since your desktop defaults to your onboard card.

This is a fault with the switchable graphics design.

not that I know of. you could undo the setting of adding OBS to geforce control panel then switch OBS's video tab to the intel card. but then you wont be able to use any other capture method (game or windowed mode)
