Question / Help Black Screen on Monitor Capture

Ive been having this issue ever since i downloaded the software. for some reason it when i make a scene and then a source as Monitor Capture, when i hit the preview bottom, recording, or streaming is always black.
i tried to mess with the video setting and chose both of my video cards (intel and invidia) and still doesn't work.
i then tried looking on you tube but there isn't anyone with the same issue.
did a few restart on my laptop but no go...
 
thanks for the reply. but it didn't help. open the software as admin in both 32/64 bit and still gives me a black screen.
is there anything else i could try?
