Question / Help Black Screen on Game Capture

Hello, I want to record World of Warcraft game, but i have black screen.. I listen only sounds.. I tried change graphic to external, change bitrate, run with administrator, window mode, fulscreen mode, reinstall gpu drivers.. everything.. Can you help me please? :/

Go into settings on WoW under the video/graphical settings. You should see a Direct X tab.

I ask because I have had issue with the black screen on DX9 games. DX10 and up do not seem to have that issue.

And it also seems to be a issue with Nvidia primarily. It is a hooking issue.

WoW is World of Warcraft.

i know what is wow :D I said about how can i find version of directx.. No i dont have this tab.. i have only resolution, effects..

With fraps and bandicam it works.. I think problem is in OBS..
PS: Its settings of wotlk.. Nothing to find here..

Oh that is why. DX11 textures are available with Cataclysm and up.

Sorry, did not realize you were operating on Litch King.

As I said, I have noticed OBS has issues with DX9 and not being able to hook especially with Nvidia cards.

I use a work around, what I do is use another program such as XSplit and then I feed that int OBS to record and stream. FRAPS might work but I have not tried FRAPS.

It adds more overhead but it is the only viable 'fix' I have found so far.

i cant record any games.. i have red faction armagedon where i had dx 11 and still not work.. ill use xsplit or bandicam :/

Anytime, report back with your findings. The DX9 Hooking issue has been forwarded to the devs and they are working on it.

Also if you have any other games that are not working right see if you can get the log file from OBS and let me know what the game are that are not working right.

I try to get a hold of the devs now and again to let them know about things I find that are not working.

CS:GO --- WORK
Red Faction:Armagedon --- ONLY WHEN IT WANT (sometimes works.. i must set window mode.. start record and after this i can set fulscreen)
World of Warcraft Wrath of the lich king --- NOT WORKED

and 8 other games works..
