Question / Help Black screen on desktop

I have watched a few videos on how to set up obs and read the help and common questions thread but cannot seem to find what my issue is. I use a 65" samsung smart tv hooked up with the hdmi cord to the tower and for some reason my stream is all black. I have the scenes and source box selected and now am stuck. any help here would be great

post your logfile from the help menu. let me guess, you have a laptop?
