Question / Help Black Screen issue with laptop and Roxio Game Capt. HD.

So over the past week I have been experiencing problems with my livestream. I Stream Xbox games but this Tuesday I found out that after I updated OBS, I could not get OBS to work. I cannot get rid of the black screen without suffering from the quality loss from compatibility mode. I have updated my drivers and made sure that OBS is supported by my NVIDIA graphics card. I do not have any idea what to do, I have looked all over the internet and youtube. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This is almost always due to mismatching adapter. Perhaps it may be because it's set to the wrong adapter in nvidia control panel. Perhaps the roxio program is set to the intel and OBS is set to the nvidia? You may need to check the nvidia control panel to make sure both programs are set to use the same.

Just checked and made sure both programs are set to the same adapter in the control panel. Still a black screen without compatibility mode.

Oh wait, forgive me, I also forgot to mention that might also be an issue with aero as well, depending on what you're capturing, so you may have to disable aero as well.
