Question / Help Black screen after the update

i just updated from .58 to .62b and suddenly i have lost the video..weirdly, not all games have this problem..as it appears AC: black flag is fine but Strider or Contrast are giving me this problem..
i noticed that there is an error message with those games saying "Warning, too slow to render..skipping" or something.. then it's followed by "Cannot find window" wich is weird because i know that ACBF is way more demanding than those games..

here's a log file from AC"BF capture session :

If you get "cannot find window" then it means you just need to reconfigure it in its properties. It means precisely that: It can't find the target game window you're trying to capture. I don't see any mention of skipped frames (taking too long to encode) in those particular log files though.

i did reconfigure it to find the window i am capturing from! and it used to work with some games (like outlast) but now it doesn't..i even created a new scene multiple times, and tried reinstalling or revering back to an older version..but the problem still persists..
any suggestions would be extremely appreciated.

Deleting the capture and recreating it doesn't help either? (Though really that should never be necessary, reconfiguring it should be enough).

If you revert back to an earlier version and it still happens then that definitely means something was configured wrong somewhere I believe. If you want to try to delete/backup all OBS settings and try running it as though it were completely fresh install, you can move or delete the %appdata%\obs folder, which contains all your settings. Sometimes that's easier for people to do.

i think deleting the settings folder actually fixed this, still can't get it to recognize strider though..all other games are working just fine, but think this one is on strider's end since the game is already kind of buggy..
