Question / Help Black flickering

Hi,

I have black flickering issues when i try to record.

system specs:
CPU: Intel i5-4690k
GPU: sli(2) msi gtx 980
ram: 16Gb 1866Mhz
500+Gb SSD space
monitor: benq xl2420g 144hz

When I try and preview, it flickers and apparently bumping up to 120Hz reduces the flickering a little but it is still unwatchable.

Does this have something to do with sli? Is it still not supported? If not, can I setup one GPU to play the game then another to record, or since it pulls off the frames directly form the card, is there no way to do that?

Window and monitor capture don't work with full screen games and will result in flickering. Either run your game in windowed/borderless mode or use game capture instead. SLI also performs poorly with game capture, so if you go that route you should disable it.

I have the game running in windowed mode. I figured out sli only grabs half the frames from one card. I figured that game capture works and it can capture at 144fps but is 60% CPU usage a lot?

60% is unsurprising if you're trying to record at 1080p60 with the settings in the log file you posted. Refer to https://obsproject.com/forum/resources/how-to-make-high-quality-local-recordings.16/ and change your preset to superfast or ultrafast under Settings > Advanced. If your output files are too large to upload then recompress them with a program like Handbrake.
