Question / Help Black flickering (I have been googling for hours)

I am trying to stream old school Runescape through a client called Orion. Other streamers seem to be able to do this through OBS with no problems, however whenever I do this I get a constant black flickering whenever I click on another window or type something in my client.

The game is NOT full screen.
I AM using game capture and not window capture.
I am on windows 8 so aero is NOT enabled.

Everything else seems to be working fine but any time I want to type in twitch chat or do anything outside of my game I get a crazy annoying black flickering. Does anybody have any information on this?

Flickering such as disturbance in the signal (common with VGA LCD monitors) or just flickering?

We need to see a log file of this if possible.

TheOvenCook, are you having the same problem with the same game, or just black flickering in general?

Either way, we'd need to see a log. A video example of the problem would also be nice.
