Question / Help Black border at twitch

Hey i want to start streaming at twitch with a basic resolution of 1680*1050 since its the native resolution of my screen. However i get black borders on the left right side in the standard player of my stream whenever is visit my own channel. I already tried different resolutions and yes i tried lower 16:9 resolutions however it resulted in the same problem over and over again or i cut off half of my monitor.

This is normal, since your monitor is 16:10 and the Twitch player is 16:9 (it won't change size to fit your stream).

You could force your own content out of its aspect ratio but doing so will distort it and make it look bad. The best choice is just to ignore the black borders, or perhaps use a 16:9 base resolution and arrange your scene in such a way that the black areas are filled in (e.g. with a background).
