Hey everyone,
I have just recently started using OBS, and I hope to in the next couple of weeks start streaming and uploading gaming content to Youtube. Currently I am only recording locally so that I can iron out all of the technical aspects and actually provide good viewing content.
The issue is in the title. Typically this issue arises when you try to record footage in a different resolution than your monitor, but I am recording in 1280x720, from a game capture that is being run on my 1920x1080 monitor (with 1.5x resolution downscaling) at 30fps. Even when I record at my monitor's native 1080p resolution I still have small black bars on the left and right of the screen.
The games I have recorded locally with this problem thus far are Heroes of the Storm and SMITE, if that helps. Below I copy-pasted one of the many logs I have recorded today.
