Question / Help Black bars on a laptop

I have searched through several ideas from peoples forums, about removing these black bars. I have messed with a bunch of stuff, and it is still there. I have changed the resolution and stuff but it won't go anywhere that I want. My resolution is 1366 by 768. When I record I see these black bars on the sides, if I mess with the resolution the bars change, or the game i record moves to the top left being the size of my face cam. How can I remove these black bars while keeping my video in good quality, while also not cutting out the sides of my video, that will really mess up a lot of the videos I want to make?

The log shows some attempts to record a game running at 1024x768, that will indeed result in black bars. For games running at 1366x768 should be no black bars. Do you see them in the OBS preview, or only during playback?

I only see them in the video, not in the preview. I also just now tried to record a game at 1366x768 and it still appeared.

Then that's your video player adding them.
But if I try and watch other videos, then they are fine, it is only for the videos I have recorded with OBS. Is it just because I have not edited those OBS videos and so they are shown different?

I just checked and it is that it is unedited. I'll edit it and see if that is the solution. Thanks for pointing that out. I'll say if that is what was wrong.
