Question / Help Bitrate going over 3500?

I set my bitrate to 3500 and I noticed on the bottom right when I'm streaming on Twitch it goes between 3400-4100. Is it a bad thing that it goes over 3500? Should I set the bit rate lower? I've been told that for non-partnered Twitch streamers that 3500 is the maximum I can use.

The bitrate will jump around a bit. 3500 is the maximum for Twitch (read the TOS). This applies to everyone, partnered or not. As long as you have 3500 average, everything is fine.
Dont forget, the audio bitrate (128 usually) will be added to that number and there is nothing wrong with the bitrate jumping to like 4200 here and there.

2000 is the maximum non-partners should use, to minimize buffering for your viewers. Almost no one will be able to watch at 3500.
