Question / Help Bitrate cap

Hello everybody

im fairly new to OBS, i consulted some guides to help me going through the configurations and optimizations, then tried to stream myself, since i have a maximum im using 1500 bitrate and 1500 buffer with 64 kb @ áudio. But while ingame i experienced some warps every couple of seconds, so when i alt tabbed i saw my stream spiking @ 1900 kb leaving me with only 200 kb to play with.

Is there any way to cap the bitrate to a maximum of 1500?

Try the minimize network impact option.

thanks, it is more stable, but is there a way to fully cap the bitrate? because it is still spiking sometimes

Not without moving closer to the server you're streaming to.
