Question / Help Best way to capture multiple PCs?

I want to try something that require capturing 4 computers. Does the streaming pc need to have a capture card with 4 hdmi slots? Or do I need 4 separate capture cards, and if so can obs handle having more than one capture card?

It's a pretty simple process to set up streaming high quality video over a local network. You can receive multiple video streams on a single computer and do what you want to it on that computer without needing multiple capture cards. However, if you're trying to stream 4 computers at once you might need some higher end networking equipment because 4 computers may start to saturate gigabit ethernet, especially if you're trying to capture 1080p on all computers
