Question / Help Best Way For User Enter/Exit Notification

Hey guys. I've tried a couple different ways to see when users join/part my room while streaming. I tried the program Chatty, as well as I've connected to my chat via IRC. Chatty doesn't seem to work at all, and IRC seems to update the userlist in bulk, on a timed basis. Maybe Twitch only sends the userlist every X amount of time, I'm not sure. But is there a way to get real time notifications of when people join or leave my room? Thanks in advance.

Nope, Twitch's IRC implementation is, to say the least, STRANGE. But I guess these are mechanisms to make sure the servers are not overloaded with join and quit messages. :/ To my knowledge there is nothing we can do about it.

Even if there was a reliable way to display it, IMO you would be better off showing the actual chat activity and not all of the join/part spam. There are plenty of ways to do this via third-party plugins or tools instead of window capping another program, e.g. Desert Kharon, NightDev.com, TeeBoard, etc.
