Hey guys!

I've been using OBS for a while now and been trying to figure out the best settings for my computer.

Specs:

Intel i7 4770k 3,5GHz / Overclocked to 4,2GHz

ASUS Geforce GTX 660 2GB

Kingston HyperX 2x4GB 1600MHz

Kingston SSDNOW 120GB

Running Win7 atm. Is using some other windows version better or?

So what would be optimal settings for my computer? I mostly play CS:GO and Diablo 3, Payday 2 etc with 1920x1080 resolution.
Should i use x264 for encoding or Quick sync? What bitrate/buffer, fps, encoding profile etc?

Thanks for all your help!

A) Follow the quickstart guide: https://obsproject.com/forum/resources/official-quick-start-guide.5
(There's other guides on these forums as well.)

B) Stream your favorite game for at least 5 minutes while you play the game in a high-action sequence (not staring at the login screen, for example).

C) Come back here and check the stickied posts. If you still have problems, come back here and post an OBS log file from your most recent five-minute-or-longer attempted stream.

Windows 7 is fine.
