Best Editing Software for Multiple Audio Tracks

I'm new to OBS, and so far have only done videos for school that only needed one audio source. But I would like to start recording some other videos and record from my computer and microphone. I researched and used mkv remuxed to mp4 using the mic on one track and the computer audio on another. At the moment I only have the free iMovie and when I opened the mp4 in iMovie, it had combined the two audio tracks into one. I want to get better editing software anyway, (years ago on a Windows I had Sony Vegas) so before committing to it, I was wondering if Final Cut Pro will open the mp4 with separate audio files, or if there's a better Mac compatible software I could use for videos?

Thank you for any advice!

A good free one that I like is:
It runs on everything, does a lot (including multiple separate audio tracks in the same source file), and isn't *too* hard to get started with.

I’ll give it a try, thank you!
