Question / Help Back screen on Desktop

I know this is a common issue but i read up on many fourm threads and i cannot seem to find my issue. I was just recording/streaming minecraft with the game capture option when i had to stop to fix my resolution when i went back and started streaming i just had a black screen. it was working perfectly and then just bam! It stopped.

update: i reinstalled OBS and fixed the problem but now i have another problem. As i am streaming or even previewing my stream it starts to be very choppy. As in the screen keeps going black from miliseconds like it is flashing back and thenn back to my game (minecraft).
