Question / Help AVerMedia Live Gamer Portable

I was wondering if I buy a AVerMedia Live Gamer Portable will it do the encoding for me? So I dont have to use my cpu power?

Thats not true the cpu usage is the same. Probably higher than to use a normal gamecapture or screen capture. Capturecards are at least just good to capture consoles or a second pc.

Obs encode the encoded stream just again. I dont know why or if that could get a change in the future

OBS can't use the hardware encoder built in to Avermedia capture cards. I think only the Avermedia software itself can do that. Even so, the hardware encoder is terrible (at least on my Live Gamer HD, last time I tried it). Horrible at streaming bitrates, kind of ok but not really at high bitrates.
