I have no idea how to fix this cause I really want to use hdmi and dvi. I have a ASUS VG248QE that i use a tv montior for my console games. It's worked fine but today i setup my liver gamer hd and I just can't get any video going through the capture card. Always said "no signal". I tried dvi and it worked right away. This monitor is 144hz I am wondering if that might be a problem. It just seems the monitor and the capture card can't handshake correctly or something. The xbox360 signal is getting to the capture card just fine cause i see the preview video in recentral.

* I am using monoprice hdmi cables
* I am on the latest capture card drivers
* The card is in windows 7 64bit machine.

P.S. I tested it out on my other asus 60hz monitor with hdmi and it worked fine on that. Just gotta figure a way around this handshaking "no hdmi signal" issue.

I'm not entirely sure if I'm up to speed on my knowledge on this subject, but I *think* the 144hz monitor could be a problem in this regard, yea. Try using a different one (or a TV or something) and see if it has the same result.

I did test it on another asus monitor(60hz) and it worked fine. It definitely seems like a handshaking issue between the capture card and the monitor. My only question is if there is a work around for these sort of problems. I tried a few other hdmi cables but that didn't help. So what do people do in cases like this?

They get a HDMI splitter instead of using the broken passthrough on that card, usually.
