Question / Help Avermedia Live Gamer HD - No audio in Recordings - Recording +Streaming

This is not a OBS direct question but it's related so I hope I will be able to get some help,

I bought a Avermedia Live Gamer HD, not to stream through but to record my Pc Gameplay whilst I stream with OBS,
I got it because of the extremely low CPU usage, So it won't cause problems with my Gameplay and OBS streaming.

Currently I'm getting no audio coming to my recordings,
I have the audio cable that AverMedia give you connected to the Pc Line Out (Green) jack and plugged into the AverMedia Audio In.
On the AverMedia ReCentral I have the audio source selected as "Line In" instead of HDMI

And yeah I'm getting no audio recorded to my game recordings seperate to OBS

Interestingly when I use the Live Gamer HD to stream console footage and select it as a Video Capture Device,
Audio Is played through the stream.

Offcourse the difference with this is no Audio cable is used I suppose.

Maybe this is significant?
When I plug the audio cable in i get this:

realtek.png

The cable is going to a Internal Capture card, Not a Headphone or Speaker.

Edit:

I went into msconfig and set the startup to not boot Realtek HD Audio manager,
I still get no audio in my recordings

I'm all out of ideas,
Hopefully theres something I'm doing wrong that someone can point out
or Is it possible that a brand new product was shipped to me with a faulty audio cable?

I'm pretty sure Line Out (Green) Jack + Liver Gamer HD audio In are the correct Jacks to plug into right?

Thanks for any help

The Live Gamer HD will not reduce CPU usage at all while recording in a 1PC setup with OBS because its hardware encoder is not supported. If this is the only reason you purchased the device you might consider returning it and using the capture methods OBS provides instead.

That said, if you're recording the same PC you're playing from you also shouldn't need to send audio to the card anyway. Just select your normal desktop/recording devices under Settings > Audio.

Hello, you misunderstand.

I am not using the Live Gamer HD with Obs, I understand that

I'm not using OBS to record.
I'm streaming through OBS and recording locally (Not using Obs Record)
At the same time as streaming I am using the Live Gamer completely separate to OBS to record just the footage locally from Pc

I am doing this so my recorded videos don't have overlay/Mic/camera on them.

And on these recorded videos I am getting no audio

How are you sending video to the card? If you're using an HDMI cable from your PC then the typical way to handle audio is to enable the "Listen to" option for the Stereo Mix or What U Hear recording device and send it to the capture card, which will be listed as a playback device. This will send the audio through the HDMI cable along with the video and avoid the need to use a 3.5mm cable altogether.
