So I've been looking into getting a Capture Card for streaming but i dont really know much about it yet.
Currently the only thing that i hate about streaming is the lack of fps i get in most cpu/gpu intensive games f.example BF4.

This is my current setup:

CPU: i7 2600k oced @ 4,4GHz
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 x2 (SLI)
16,0 GB of Ram

So im pretty new to streaming and all im not entirely sure if im having problems with my cpu or gpu, ive heard that streaming takes alot of your cpu but i would love some comments on everything i need to know etc...
What does Avermedia do? Help my cpu or gpu and would u recommend it?
I currently dont want to spend money on a 2nd pc just because streaming is new to me and i wanna try it before i spend money on it.
So i saw a guy with worse specs than me running with a avermedia card and he said he was really happy with it and recommend it to me.
Appreciate every comment!

Thanks.

A capture card in a single PC setup will do you no good. OBS already has the most efficient capture methods possible, and you will still be using x264 to encode. The hardware encoder on most consumer level capture cards (including the one in question) have very poor quality and are generally only meant for local recording at really high bitrates.

For Battlefield 4, you might want to look into using QuickSync encoding, but you'll have to make sure your motherboard supports it.
