Hello,

I just got myself an AverMedia H727 (AverTV CaptureHD), and I've tried to hook up my GameCube and then my Wii, both to no avail. i keep getting the infamous 'No Signal' image.

For what I've been able to google, I'm using 'AVerMedia BDA Analog Capture Secondary', in Configure I've got it set to Video Standard: 'PAL_B' (European consoles, dutch), it shows there 0 signals detected, 625 lines detected.
Crossbar is set to 'Video SVideo In', and my Custom Resolution is set to '640x480' and '25-50' FPS. I've tried most other combinations of resolutions, FPS, etc. already, of course I might have missed some. The cable self, I've plugged in the Composite cables from my Wii into the corresponding colored cables on the converter, which is plugged into the HDMI port of the H727.

I'm not sure what other information to provide. Anyone here able to help me out? <3

AVerMedia BDA Analog Capture Secondary is for component and HDMI, you have to use the other device for composite and S-Video.

Edit: Also, I hope you don't mean the actual HDMI port. There's one port for HDMI, the other port is for the breakout cable, or converter as you call it.

AHA, your edit was my mistake. I went with 'if the shoe fits', silly of me.
Thanks for your help, a ton<3

Reviving the topic, my capture card has been working well for all my consoles, except for the N64. The "avermedia no signal detected" image is flickering on and off rapidly, and when I go into settings, the "Signal Detected" counter keeps jumping between 1 and 0. Very very now and then, I hear a flicker of sound coming through, but that's it.
I've double checked the cables, they're nice and proper, they work on my TV, and my GameCube can be captured properly using the same cable. Just not the N64.

Anyone able to help me out this time around?

A lonely youtube comment in a dark desolate corner has given me the solution:
Most modern video cards can't take signals below.. uh, 480i?

But hook the console up to a VCR, and the VCR to the capture card.. and magic happens.
Got it working, thanks.
