Question / Help AverMedia Game Capture HD (Unportable)

I wanted to stream my Xbox 360 on twitch or YouTube. And I have OBS but I don`t have a elgato yet. I only have a AverMedia Game Capture HD (Not The Portable One) Could You Help Me?
 
Ehm, if you have a Game Capture HD, why would you need an elgato anyway?
Get a cheap splitter and you are done. Connect the Xbox to the splitter, then from there once to the TV and once to your Game Capture HD. Add the Game Capture HD in OBS as a video capture device and you are done.
Or does the GC HD have a problem with OBS?
