Question / Help AverMedia c875 Not Working With PsTV

Hi All!

The issue I am experiencing is when trying to stream from my psTV to OBS with my averMedia c875 it isn't capturing. I've made sure that LGP is used as the source, all the settings were correct in preferences, and skype/chrome were all shut down.

When using RECentral it works fine, just not with OBS.

The setup being used is the psTV is connected to the avermedia which is connected to the TV using HDMI out and to the PC via usb.

Does anyone use this setup?

Do you have the LGP Stream Engine?

Yup. It's a selectable option in the drop down list in video capture device source. Unless thats just telling me I have the option but don't have it actually installed.

The PSTV outputs video over HDMI with HDCP. Unless your TV strips HDCP (which isn't legal), there is no way you'll be able to patch through the video through the Stream Engine, it is actively blocking it.

If you check RECentral, you'll notice that recording is disabled. Unlike the PS4, there is no way to disable HDCP on the PSTV.

If it is the HDCP, I'm surprised RECentral is detecting a signal.
