Question / Help Avermedia as Global Source

When I start streaming with my avermedia C985 it gets stuck in a to a certain resolution. Like I play Counter-Strike at a different resolution rather than my 1920x1080 desktop. But normally it just screws up when I open games like it shows a black screen or show only a quarter of it. But if I reload my stream its fine. Is there a way I can recreate the same effect as reload my avermedia global source without restarting my stream? I would super appreciate it if anyone knew :)~

There isn't a way to do it automatically as far as I know, but you can adjust the capture card's resolution mid-stream by double-clicking on its source, checking the "Custom Resolution" box and setting the correct resolution yourself.

I appreciate the response but that's not really the problem I explained it very poorly. Let me try again.
Lets say I don't use my avermedia video source as a "Global Source" and use it as a normal source I would switch back and fourth between scenes then the problem is totally fixed because the source does this sort of "reloading" thing and the resolution for all games or black screens are fixed.
Here's a example if I start streaming on my desktop first and then open a Valve game it will only show my desktop But if I start streaming while in a valve game its perfectly fine but if I exit and goto my desktop. It shows like this:
So the problem is fixed if I use it as a regular source and just switch back and fourth between scenes but that causes painful lag on my stream.

Anything? :D

I understand the problem, and as I said there isn't a way to refresh the card automatically after a resolution change. It's really meant to work at a constant resolution and doesn't handle resolution changes well. You can manually adjust the resolution in the capture card's source properties or use the refresh button there. You might also be able to use a plugin like the automatic scene switcher, one for your game and one for your desktop; add the capture card to both scenes at different resolutions and the plugin will switch scenes based on what has focus.

I posted about the same problem a couple of weeks ago, I use the Extremecap U3 and when the input source changes resolution while streamimg you just get a black screen on OBS. This isn't a problem while I'm playing PC games because my PC always outputs 1080p but when using it for PS3 I have the problem because the dashboard is 1080p but most games are 720p.

The solution until OBS is coded to refresh the source on resolution change is to just make separate scenes with the capture card forced to 1080p and 720p and switch between them when needed. Not pretty but it works.
