Bug Report Automatic Scene Switcher - any window with "++" will not add to the scene list

As the title says, when setting the auto scene switcher, any window with "++" in its name will fail to load and throw an "invalid regular expression" error. This makes it quite difficult to add any notepad++ window to the scene switcher list.

Time to modify the regex... I'll file a bug report.

- are metacharacters. Try to escape "+" with backslash "\" ahead.
Example:

window title:
new  1 - Notepad++

new title:
new  1 - Notepad\+\+

Thank you all for your quick responses. That does indeed solve my problem! I will remember the backslash tip in the future, Suslik. It is an easy fix until it gets addressed :)

There is nothing to address, that field uses regular expressions, this is how they work.

Is there a similar regex trick I can use to add file explorer windows to the auto-switcher list?

My reports of success were premature. I had not properly altered my "switch to" setting back away from my notepad++ scene. The window still does not pop up onscreen when active.

[] are also characters that need to be escaped. Look at Suslik's post.
You can just use the regex i gave you to match any window with Notepad++ in the name.

@Simych , you can type regular expression (mask) directly in the field of the drop down list of the available program windows.
