Hey OBS :)

I got a issue with my audio i got a dual setup, PC1 and PC2.

PC1= Gaming PC
Connected with HDMI cable from Graphic card HDMI PORT(PC1) to Avermedia card HDMI INPUT(PC2)
PC2=Streaming PC with Avermedia card C985(using HDMI both for video and audio)

The problem:
Seems like the sound from PC1 is not getting through to my streaming PC. And therefore i cannot stream any gaming audio from PC1.

Options tried:
Same bit and hz on both PC's
I use the STEROMIX(recording) to listen to Avermedia HD-4(playback) on PC1
Also tried STEROMIX to listen on my primary sound source(Headset-playback) on PC1.

Hopefully you can help.
This is driving me crazy

It works in Xsplit.
But not in my beloved OBS :(

Using:
STEROMIX(recording) to listen to Avermedia HD-4(playback) on PC1

EDIT: And Now it is not working? ;P
have done nothing different beside restarting

Seems like the sound is not getting through with soundmix and "Listen to this device" to the avermedia-hd-4 on PC1

If you could, please included a log. It's most likely something trivial

You probably just have to use the crossbar to configure the audio pin correctly or activate "Use device audio" in the video device capture settings. But Jim is right, a log file will tell us.

In OBS select Help > Log Files > Upload last Log File. Copy the URL and paste it here. If the last log is empty, just try an older one.

Hey dude,

You need to right click on the Avermedia Source,

Click Properties
Click "open Crossbar"
On the right hand drop down choose "Audio Decoder Out"
On the left hand drop down choose "Audio SPDIFDigital In"
Press Ok
Press Ok

Then stop preview, the start preview - and sound should come through.

Also I've noticed that if your streaming PC is on AFTER your gaming PC, it sometimes will not send sound across to the HDMI port. So best to make sure the streaming PC is ON - before turning the Gaming PC on :)

Yep, sounds like you just needed to turn up scene buffering time in advanced.
